Can anyone tell what will be the status of a person who has used AC21 , and does not get the EAD renewal before the existing EAD expires ? Assume 140 has been approved, 180 days has been passed and got the EAD renewal receipt.
I am exactly in same situation. Based on my research, you need to stop working on the day your EAD gets expired if your new EAD has not been approved. EAD renewal receipt notice is not going to help. I would stop working if this situation arrives.

Could you please post who did the education evaluation for you? Was it a course by course eval?
It will also help if you could provide details on your labor certification category such as
section (203) (3) (i) or (ii) etc.. for skilled worker or professional. I believe You could also find this on your I-140 receipt notice..
'Will accept academic studies evaluated as equivalent of US Bachelors' This wording is tough to handle given that what you have is a Combination of courses evaluated as equivalent to US Bachelors, based on details provided in your post quote "I have a 3 year diploma & 1 year towards Bachelors in business" end quote.

Most of the EB2's are very happy with the bulletin (which they should be) but I also see most of them are non-donors (or the free riders).

Agreed that I haven't contributed (yet) but that's a mighty big acquisition from your end on calling all of us EB2's free riders without any considerable data to prove it.
I think it's within our best interests to remain united until things are straightened up but I sure can understand your bitterness and hope the best for you too.

1) My screen name has nothing to do with the argument here. If we discuss my screen name we are going on a tangent which is very typical of desis (I rememeber womanly taunts in movies and woman gossip where they would pick anything but would niether make a point nor a valid argument)
so you can see where your argument is going..
2) Hopefull signifies optimism. A pessimist is an optimist who is very analytical or knows better. Your argument is similar to "And they lived happily ever after ...(after singing around green trees) ...." ignoring the ground reality, facts that no dent has been made and also turninga blind eye to the fact that there are people since 2001/2002 stuck. Its 2007 meaning five years and if the Dept is not willing to budge after all these efforts to a number more than 7000, and you still are HOPEFULL ignoring the facts means that you are an idiot. Yes you will get your GC before you die for sure provided you live upto the age of appx 70 and your consulting firm is around and you are not tired of the bickering with your employer.
Its just like a Yash Chora SRK movie ...it only happens in reel life and not real life ..

Piece meal is our best/only option for the next 2 years. We have to keep track of the legal bills being introduced and campaign for them. I don't think CIR will make it in lameduck too. Republicans would like to enforce border security and employer, internal monitoring, before any king of path to legal status for illegals.
lets stop this rhetoric on repubs, what about bobby jindal, marco rubio & nick haley and plz don't give explanations to distort the reality, many in the republicans sincerely support legal immigration, tell me few good things dems did to legal immigrants, aint regan the one who gave amnesty to illegals in 80s, aint bush the one who tried more than once to pass CIR, who opposed h1b fee increase recently?
Yes I agree, we should be neutral on party as an organization. Also the enhanced H1b, monitoring RFE, etc was introduced due to body shops misusing visas and not paying on bench. Think of it as an extended background check due to the misuse.
I feel republicans would sincerely welcome qualified immigrants. Some of their views on protecting the border have been distorted out of propotion due to politics.
What we need to do is enhance our reputation with both Republicans and Democrats and get them to help us.

I wonder what our children and grandchildren will learn from all these. When they grow up and know that their parents had to go through this mess while waiting to be accepted legally for xxxx number of years and some people got the "grand reward" of being illegal for many years!! We have shown the CA (Chartered Accountncy) equivalent to both a US bachelor's degree and a US Masters degree with an expert opinion letter. As far as I know they have all been approved. We have detailed research and we suggest the attorney cite it in the brief as well because that makes the case even stronger than just citing it in an evaluation or expert opinion letter.

Thanks Sanbaj. Do you have both applications under same sponsor? Or different sponsor? My case is: both different sponsor and on top of that now I am working for third company using AC21 -EAD. Can any complications arise?
My case was simple. Same Sponsor. Same Category EB2. You case is complex as three different companies are involved. In my understanding, which is very limited, both the approved I140s are yours to use. Whichever sponsor's I140 is applied to your AOS is that sponsor you should joing after AOS is approved. But, AC21 in your case makes it even more complex. You better get a very (interfiling) experienced lawyer to help you out in your case for just to be on the safe side. There is no point taking so much risk at this stage of this prolonged and painfull process.

If you have current AP, you can travel while your AP renewal is pending. AP renewal will be from the date when your current AP expire.
In other discussions it is mentioned that if I-485 is pending & you are applying for renewal you don't need this letter.
BTW, i just read this in the I-131 instructions, so if i hold a valid AP now and apply for renewal and go to India and enter back using the existing AP, does it mean my pending I-131 renewal will be abondoned? :confused:
